Every kind of fish is highly nutritious. However, seawater fish are considered higher omega 3 than fresh water fish. Yet, the best omega 3 source is salmon that live in both waters. Omega 3 is incredible fatty acids that essential for body health and very important nutrient for brain. The other nutrition on fish are including but not limited to vitamin D, protein, minerals, iodine, and other vitamins.

The common problem of cooking fish is the fishy smell. To get rid the fishy smell, you can use lime or lemon to marinade the fish. The uses of various herbs are also helpful with the smell and add marvelous taste to the fish dish.

Below is one example of dinner healthy recipes with fish. The fish is rich of taste and this recipe is good option for hot and spicy lover.

Salmon with Hot and Spicy Sour Cream

  • 5 ounce salmon steak
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • Quarter teaspoon salt
  •  1 Jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • Half cup reduced-fat sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Quarter cup fresh cilantro, chopped finely
  • Quarter teaspoon salt
  • Cooking oil spray

How to cook Salmon with Hot and Spicy Sour Cream:

  1. Mix salt and chili powder. Rub the mixture on salmon and spray cooking oil on the surface. Take large non-stick skillet and heat it over medium heat. Once the skillet hot, place the salmon and cook for about 3 minutes for each side.
  2. While waiting the salmon to cooked, make hot and spicy sour cream by mixing sour cream with jalapeno, lemon juice, cilantro, and salt.
  3. After the salmon cooked, transfer it into a plate and top it with sour cream mixture.
